SNOWSPORT ENGLAND NATIONAL SCHOOLS SNOWSPORT WEEK
Monday 24th – Sunday 30th April 2017
National Schools Snowsport Week is a campaign delivered by Snowsport England’s Youth Development Committee, which aims to develop school children’s skills and abilities and increases school participation in Snowsports.
Following the successful pilot in 2016 (which saw a total of 21 Slopes across England, 149 schools and 1066 school children participate in the initiative) we are delighted to announce that National Schools Snowsport Week will be delivered again on Monday 24th – Sunday 30th April 2017.
We understand that for some school children, it will be their first time on skis or a snowboard. For others, it could be an opportunity to try racing, freestyle or skicross. For all we hope that it will be an enriching experience, which combines physical strength with fine skills of balance and agility.
After the week, we encourage schools to continue participating through programmes on offer at their local facility or facility linked local club. Hoping that overall this develops your school children’s skills and abilities in a fun and engaging environment.
We are now inviting Facilities and Clubs to sign up today, to host a programme of taster events/activity during the 24th – 30th April. Please complete the online form via the following link with an initial idea of your plans.
